An Open Door to the Kingdom

My door is open for those who wish to enter.
Not into creeds of men,
but into the Word God has given,
where prophets spoke and apostles taught,
where Jesus, God’s Son,
walked, died, and rose again.

My door is open for those who doubt.
Here are the scrolls, the witnesses, the promises—
Abraham’s blessing,
David’s throne,
a Kingdom yet to come upon this earth.

My door is open for those who are weary.
Sit at the table, break the bread, share the cup—
as they did in the first days,
steadfast in teaching, in fellowship, in prayer.

My door is open for those who return.
Five steps mark the way:
to hear, to believe,
to repent, to be washed in baptism,
to walk in newness of life,
awaiting the Lord’s return.

My door is open for those who long for hope.
Look toward the day
when the meek inherit the earth,
when nations learn war no more,
when tears are wiped from every face,
and Christ reigns as King in Jerusalem.

My door is open for those who wish to enter.
Come, brothers and sisters in Christ,
for the Kingdom is near,
and the Father has promised
a home for all who seek Him.
